The weather in Estonia at the end of August is usually relatively mild, with daytime temperatures around 15 °C. There is a big chance of rain, though. For the actual weather in Tartu during the Conference, please check a weather forecast, for example www.wunderground.com or www.yr.no.
The city center and the conference venue are connected by bus lines No. 1 and 5 (about 10 min), which run their course mostly along the central Riia street. The same route takes about 30 min on foot. Detailed maps and timetables are available at tartu.peatus.ee.
One-time bus tickets are available from any kiosk or Tartu Visitor Centre for €0.83 or from the driver for €1. Be sure to stamp your ticket after boarding. A one-day ticket and 10-day ticket are also available (these are valid for the dates stamped on them).
